Sugar Valley photo chosen for Wing HQ

Lt Col Eric Orgain, squadron commander, and Maj Stephen Leighton, deputy commander for seniors, were delighted to be present at Wing Headquarters as a photograph taken by Sugar Valley Composite Squadron member 1st Lt Deborah Leighton was unveiled as part of the Wing’s first photography contest.

The picture of cadets at a local flag-raising ceremony in Davie County now hangs in the main auditorium of the Wing’s headquarters in Burlington, NC.

1st Lt Deborah Leighton is the squadron’s assistant public affairs officer and resident photographer.

      It was an honor to be able to record the performance of these cadets. They practiced really hard, and executed the ceremony perfectly. Great examples for our squadron and for CAP.
