Quality Cadet Unit Award earned by Sugar Valley

Col David Crawford, CAP, commander of the NC Wing, has announced that Sugar Valley is among the twelve NC Wing squadrons that earned the Quality Cadet Unit Award for the 2013-2014 program year.

The Quality Cadet Unit Award recognizes strong fundamentals across the cadet programs function at a composite or cadet squadron. Sugar Valley Composite Squadron, along with the other recognized squadrons, demonstrated strength in adult leadership, aerospace education, cadet achievement, wing activity participation, orientation flights, and member retention. Such an award reflects serious dedication by unit leadership as well as each cadet and his or her family to the core values and commitments of the Civil Air Patrol.

The unit will receive a banner for its squadron flag signifying this accomplishment.
