Beyond the general professional development opportunities, CAP offers job-specific training, including a course designed to prepare senior members for unit leadership. Maj Matthew Phillips, Sugar Valley’s deputy commander for seniors, and 16 other officers from around the North Carolina Wing, completed this training course on 11-12 January 2014 at NC Wing Headquarters.

The course was directed by NC Wing Vice Commander Lt Col Andy Wiggs and NC Wing Chief of Staff Maj Jason Bailey, and others, including Maj Phillips, provided instruction on a wide variety of topics.

In addition to important leadership and management content, participants had the opportunity to learn about best practices from the other attendees and to form relationships that will lead to mutual support between the Wing’s squadrons.

More coverage is available on the NC Wing Website.
